Jennifer Newton grew up in Goose Creek, near the coast of historic Charleston, South Carolina. She followed in her mother’s footsteps when she ventured to Rock Hill to attend Winthrop University. While there, she gained her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting. Upon graduation in 1999, Jennifer went to work in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Hearst Corporation Service Center.
While attending Winthrop, Jennifer met her life partner, Chip, who introduced her to Fort Mill Church of God and Pentecost. Since birth Jennifer was raised in the Episcopal Church, however felt the Lord calling her to a deeper connection to Him and to FMCOG. Chip and Jennifer were married in 1999 and together have volunteered in many areas of the church from nursery to young adult. In 2003, Jennifer resigned the corporate arena to pursue ministry at FMCOG, where she served as the Nursery/Preschool Director.
In 2005, the Lord called Jennifer back into administration by serving in the church office supporting the accounting and finance operation. In the summer of 2016, Jennifer was promoted as the Support Services Manager, overseeing the day to day functions in the office.
Jennifer’s family lives in Rock Hill, where her husband is an Elementary Assistant Principal. They have 2 young children, Anna and Christian. In her spare time, Jennifer loves spending time with her family, the thrills of being a PTA mom and baking.
