Next Steps

No matter where you are in life, there is always a next step.

There is a next step for everyone. The Fort Mill Church of God wants to be with you on this journey for whatever that step is.

Connect to FMCOG

Taking the Next Step to learn more about our church and the way you can become a part of FMCOG starts here. The Connect to FMCOG class happens every month on the 2nd and 4th Sunday. In the PLAN Class, you will learn about the heartbeat of our church, our beliefs, our structure, and how to become part of our family. In the PURPOSE Class, we explore your unique design and share the many ways you are able to serve at FMCOG. We will connect you to people and a team that fits your passions so that you can have influence to those around you. Register now to join us for the next class!

Salvation

Life is hard. We all have struggles to meet family demands, pay the bills, and succeed in our endeavors. We all seek for answers and help to find our purpose. And we all have those deep unanswered questions about life’s meaning. “Why am I here?” “Who am I?” “What happens when I die?” Jesus came to answer those questions and to give us purpose. He is the answer to where we’ll spend eternity. He is the answer to the problems you’re facing today. Jesus gives your life meaning. God, the Creator, has a plan for your life. He loves you and desires your love in return. He knows you can’t do life on your own. He knows it gets difficult. That’s why He sent Jesus. You don’t have to be good enough, clean up your act, or follow a spiritual checklist to know God. All you need to do is make Jesus Lord of your life.

“How do I do that?”

If you are ready to meet Jesus, pray this prayer: “Dear Jesus, I admit that I’m a sinner. I admit that I need a savior. I need your forgiveness. I believe that You lived, died, and rose from the grave so I could be connected to God. I choose you as Lord of my life and commit my life to You. I ask that you cleanse my heart and forgive me for my sinfulness. I turn away from my past and I turn towards You, my future.  Take my life and use it. Amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please let us know by e-mailing us at curious@fmcog.com! We are happy to welcome you to our family and help you take your next step

Connect Groups

You belong here at Fort Mill Church of God. One of our commitments is to make it easier for you to find others who share your interests. We know that when you connect with people and have fun, you’ll begin to build a family that serves and grows together. We encourage you to join one of our many connect groups that meet on and off campus throughout the week. More information on our current connect group choices is available at the connection center in the lobby.

Serving

Serving others is such a big part of who we are as a church and you will find no shortage of opportunities here. Each volunteer is an essential part of what keeps FMCOG thriving. From the preschool department to greeters to media and beyond, every person is making a difference by serving here. Life can get busy, but we understand that serving is one of the best ways to connect with new friends at church and grow in your relationship with Christ. Take a moment to browse our various ministries and find the place that you fit.

There are many ministry opportunities at FMCOG and we would love to have you serving with us!

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.” – I Peter 4:10
